We keep every inquiry confidential. We do not share anything you send with immigration enforcement without your authorization, unless the law requires it. What happens after you contact us
- What happens next: Dr. Mantonya personally reviews your message and replies with next steps and a confirmation of the flat fee for your case type. If the case is a fit, the reply includes a private intake link with a few short screening questions.
- Private booking link: After reviewing your intake, we send your private booking page. You pick a time, read and sign the engagement letter and consent forms (including any release of information), and pay the flat fee in one sitting. The background questionnaire and short questionnaires follow after booking, before your session; translated versions are available.
- Timing: The completed report is usually delivered within about 5-7 business days after the interview (an estimate, not a guarantee). Priority rush is available (3 days, +50%) and emergency rush (24 hours, +100%) for urgent hearings or filing deadlines.
- Evaluation conducted: 90-120 minute structured interview via secure HIPAA-compliant telehealth (or in-person on request). Standardized testing battery (PTSD Checklist for DSM-5 (PCL-5), Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9), Generalized Anxiety Disorder scale (GAD-7), Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II), plus case-specific instruments) administered. Professional interpretation is available for almost any language.
- Report delivered: A written forensic psychological report with Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition, Text Revision (DSM-5-TR) diagnoses where they apply, test scores, and a clinical opinion on the questions relevant to your case. - Revisions and addendums: Reasonable revisions within the scope of the evaluation are provided at no additional charge. Request for Evidence (RFE) responses on findings the report addressed are included; new clinical work is a separate addendum ($500).

Can you provide an evaluation if I do not have an immigration attorney?
Yes. You do not need a lawyer to work with us. We provide the psychological evaluation and the written report on the mental health impact of what you experienced. You submit that report with your petition; it does not require you to have a lawyer. We are not attorneys, so we do not give legal advice or help complete your immigration forms. Is the contact form HIPAA compliant?
The contact form is intended for general inquiries and does not request protected health information (PHI). Your message is kept in the practice's records on Amazon Web Services and delivered to our Google Workspace inbox (contact@drmantonya.com), both under business associate agreements. Once an evaluation is scheduled, all later communication moves to fully HIPAA-covered channels (your private page, Google Workspace email and Meet under a business associate agreement).

Yes. Dr. Mantonya conducts evaluations in English. Professional interpretation is available for almost any language. Our intake form is available in English, Spanish and Simplified Chinese.
Do you accept clients outside California?
No. Dr. Mantonya holds a California license, and this practice evaluates only people who are physically located in California at the time of the evaluation, whatever their immigration status. If you will be outside California, a psychologist licensed where you are located can help.
